Why this blog?

Hello. My name is Dave Ladner and I am the Karaseks' IT department for the journey on which they will soon depart. I have created this blog so that they will have an easy way to communicate with everyone while they are on their sojourn.

One year on the road in an RV. If they don't kill each other, they will return to Chicago (um, why?) stronger and with more joi de vivre.

Anyway, this post is just a placeholder until Mel and Nancy have something to report.
