Sailing!

Today was a catch up day. While it was a gorgeous day, we desparately needed to do laundry. We went to the "Olde Pilgrim Washing Well" in Plymouth, where we encountered a friendly attendant, who gave us great ideas for touring Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire. We find that when the locals have time to chat that they are the best source of information.
Because we had so much laundry to do, it took us all afternoon to wash, dry, hang, fold, and store our clothes. In between completing those chores, we would talk to friends and family to catch up on their holiday activities. When finished, we went to see X-Men: The Last Stand that we had seen before but enjoyed as much the second viewing. We picked up so much more understanding than the first time. I think that we get so overwhelmed from the special effects that details of the plot escape us. Afterwards we went to Uno's for another pizza-just can't get enough.
Above are photos from our cruise of yesterday. There were so many boats, both power and sail boats, even a pirate ship. Wind power is a big thing here. There is a lot of controversy because people dislike the infrastructure required to provide power, but there is plenty of wind blowing off the Atlantic Ocean. As Mel said, "Would they rather have a nuclear power plant nearby? That's not pretty either."
Finally, we were sad to here that our movie critic buddy, Robert Ebert, had been taken to the hospital in an emergency. While we rarely agree with his movie assessments (if we listened to him, we'd miss many good movies), we were sorry to hear of his health problems. We wish him well.
