On To Washington

Following Washington's footsteps, here we are crossing the Potomac River. We will be in the DC area for the next 20 days and will have the opportunity to visit many long time friends as well as see the many amazing sights in DC.
I am adding to this post. It is Friday, May 19th. We woke up to rain and cold so we decided to do lunch and movies. We saw DaVinci Code and Over the Hedge, both wonderful movies. If you have read the DaVinci Code, you won't be disappointed. Ron Howard did a great job of sticking close to the book. The scenery is breathtaking, almost a travelogue, especially if you have been to Europe. Anyway, it is my recommendation that you see it. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I knew what was going on and going to happen. Ignore the critics-what do they know. Regarding the religion controversy, IT'S A MOVIE. THE BOOK IS FICTION. People get a life. Regarding Over the Hedge, Dreamworks has done it again. This is fun for adults and children. Frankly, there were more adults in the theater than kids, which is a tribute to the Dreamworks genius.
After the movies, we returned to the RV, from where I have been contacting DC friends to set up visits during our time here.

JUST got home from the 10PM showing at South Barrington (Barb's in Indy with the band).
Wow. The critics got it wrong. Great film, and I think Howard might be looking at an Oscar...
Love you, miss you,
Dave
