Riding My Bike!

FINALLY!!!
After 25 years, I found that I actually can still ride a bike and Mel caught it in a photo so the world could see. At first, I was a little shaky. I told Mel to either get in front of me or behind me but he couldn't ride next to me because I needed the entire road width as I was seriously swerving back and forth. No sooner had I got myself going when a lady yelled from behind, "Coming through." I replied, "That's pretty risky. I haven't ridden in 25 years." But then, I got my balance and we rode through the campsite, fortunately the roads are level and in good repair. Needless to say, I am pretty proud of myself and am looking forward to nice rides in the future.
I need to practice using brakes. For now, I just slow as much as possible, then drag my feet until I can jump off the seat. I have to learn how to use the brake levers. Also, I have no idea how to use the gear shift as the bike has 7 speeds.
Lance Armstrong, watch out!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, this was truly the best Christmas present ever. Thanks, Kids!
